Playful colored surfaces, rounded forms rather than stern glass facades – these are the hallmarks of the Berlin architecture bureau Sauerbruch Hutton. Harun Farocki accompanied six nascent projects over a period of three months – from the draft concept through to final approval of the buildings themselves by the respective clients. The architects consider every idea carefully and check and modify their plans before each new step. In the tradition of Direct Cinema, Farocki lets his protagonists’ discussions and gestures do the talking.
