The Haus der Kulturen der Welt is celebrating its 20th Birthday—and offering our gifts to the public.

Rirkrit Tiravanija has invited prominent artists such as Christian Philipp Müller, Anri Sala, John Bock and Arto Lindsay to participate in the jubilee. A concert by the acclaimed singer Oumou Sangaré launches the anniversary month, the premiere of the Internationaler Literaturpreis is the featured finale.

The opening event features philosopher Kwame Anthony Appiah discussing cosmopolitan ethics: “Revisiting the Future—Being Cosmopolitan.” Afterwards, Rirkrit Tiravanija presents “Come Together,” a cooking performance.
