Alphabet Readings is a series of unconventional gatherings about diverse literary topics and works. The series probes various genres, forms and writing styles for their particular ways of making the world readable. What metaphors does speculative fiction employ? How could a poem mirror a mathematical sequence? Can a novel suddenly make you question all your assumptions? To approach these and other questions, the participants use practices that translate the intimacy of reading into social space and create new types of engagement with text.
