Mad Professor

Mad Professor, born Neil Fraser, is a music producer. Since founding his own recording studio Ariwa Sounds with his first self-built mixing desk in London in 1979 he has released over 200 original recordings and remixes. With his ever-expanding collection of sound equipment, recordings of Lovers Rock artists and his Dub Me Crazy-album series Fraser became one of the leading figures in the development of dub-reggae in the 1980s and 90s. Besides recurring collaborations with Lee "Scratch" Perry, he has worked with Macka B, Sly and Robbie, U-Roy and Horace Andy, and others. After his well acclaimed No Protection (1995), a dub version of Massive Attacks second album, a new collaboration of Fraser and the band is to be released end of 2018.
