Navid Navid can be seen in numerous films, among them For a Moment, Freedom (directed by Arash T. Riahi, 2007) and Septembers of Shiraz (directed by Wayne Blair, 2016). In 2003, he was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role for the Förderpreis Deutscher Film at the Munich International Film Festival for his performance in The Friend (directed by Elmar Fischer, 2003), and in 2012, he was nominated for the 48th Grimme-Preis for his role in Salami Aleikum (directed by Ali Samadi Ahadi, 2008).
