KulturKontakt Austria (KKA) is a European competence and resource center that promotes exchange among educational institutions in Eastern and Southeastern Europe and Austria for sustainable support of educational reforms. The association supports collaboration between schools and cultural professionals in Austria. In the scope of its artists-in-residence program, it grants scholarships and guest studio residencies in Austria to international cultural professionals. The work of KKA is aligned to the basic educational and cultural policy principles formulated at the European level of diversity, difference and life-long learning. On this basis, it designs its activities in line with equal opportunity access to education, culture and art. The non-profit association develops and implements its programs on behalf of and with support from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education and the Arts and Culture Division of the Federal Chancellery of Austria.
