On Rage - Film Colloquium: Opening

In motion pictures, which are primarily about feelings, anger is almost always present – overtly or covertly – as a reaction to familial and social violence. Whole genres feed on this emotion, and in turn show it in various aggregate forms. In its discussion and screening of the selected films, the colloquium looks at the individual and his reaction to the indignities of everyday life, at the reflection of the state (of emergency) of society, and at the question of the essence of rage. The Colloquium will be moderated by the film critic, author and columnist Georg Seeßlen.
