Music Documentary Film, Trinidad & Tobago/West Indies 2005, 85 min, English OV

The location is the legendary "Dirty Jim's Swizzle Club in Port of Spain: opened in the 50s, it was the meeting place for all the Calypsonians of Trinidad. For the first time ever, you could find blacks and whites, men and women, sailors, crooks, and lost souls under one roof. Once again, “Dirty Jim’s” opens its doors just for the film and the Kings of the 'Golden Age of Calypso” take to the stage: The Mighty Sparrow, Lord Superior, Calypso Rose, Bomber, The Mighty Terror. They tell of limbo dancers, striptease shows, the famous "Swizzle" cocktails - and face off for some unforgettable sessions.
