The conceptual artist Sophie Calle - famed for making her life and loves the subject of her work –— mirrors the story of a painful love affair in her multimedia project "Exquisite Pain:" a journey to Asia, a rendezvous that doesn’t take place, the return and coping with the disappointment with help from her friends. This countdown to self-obsessed pain brings García Wehbi together with the brilliant Maricel Alvarez in a One-Woman Show to the stage - she is starring in a new film by cult Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu alongside Javier Bardem. The focus on the actress in the production makes the self-irony in Calles’s text and the strategy of artistic exploitation all the more bizarre. Sophie Calle was thrilled by it.
