​​Leora Maltz-Leca

Leora Maltz-Leca is a South African-born, US-based critic, curator and professor of contemporary art history at RISD. She is the author of William Kentridge: Process as Metaphor & Other Doubtful Enterprises (2018). Her forthcoming book The Metaphoric Studio: Processing Colonial Modernism explores how contemporary artists in the postcolonies use a range of studio processes to critique the paradigmatic processes and insidious effects of global capital, from overaccumulation, extraction and waste to financialization and rentier economies.
