Paula Nascimento is an architect and independent curator. Some of her most notable architectural projects include the Angola Pavilion for Expo Milano in 2015. She is co-founder of Beyond Entropy Africa (2010–16), a research studio that has worked in architecture, visual arts and geopolitics. In addition to her interest in architecture, Nascimento lectures and writes on African art and has (co-)curated exhibitions in Angola, South Africa, Portugal, Italy and France. As an independent curator, she has worked on interdisciplinary projects exploring themes related to post-colonial cities and contemporary readings for historical themes. Currently, she is a guest curator of the Catchupa Factory residency for photographers from Portuguese-speaking Africa in Cape Verde.
