Rosalind C. Morris

Rosalind C. Morris is Professor of Anthropology at Columbia University, where she has served as director of the Institute for Research on Women and Gender and associate director of the Institute for Comparative Literature and Society. Morris has held fellowships at the American Academy, Berlin; the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton; Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study, in South Africa, among others. She is the editor of Can the Subaltern Speak? Reflections on the History of an Idea (2010). Her publication Accounts and Drawings from Underground (with William Kentridge, 2014) will be published in an enlarged edition in February 2020. We are Zama Zama, a documentary film about informal miners in Southern Africa, will be released in 2020.
