Malek Bajbouj

Malek Bajbouj is professor of psychiatry and affective neuroscience at Charité Berlin. He studies how emotions and emotional memory are represented in the human brain and influenced by environmental and cultural factors. As head of the Global Mental Health research group, he is the initiator of numerous projects in Germany, the Middle East and the Far East in which culturally sensitive treatments for refugees are developed locally and institutionalized.
