HKW invites the public to twenty-one summer evenings of concerts, readings, performances and cinema on its roof terrace

The summer festival on the roof terrace of Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) is back! On 21 summer evenings, HKW will gather music, literature and film art in a summery open-air atmosphere – but more importantly the people who want to experience culture together again. On five weekends, the 21 Sunsets festival combines concerts, readings and film screenings for an atmospheric but safe blend.

The concerts range from avant-garde pop to samba de roda and from jazz to new music.

Concerts by Aemong, Adi Amati, The Auslanders, Batila, Teresa Bergman, Ozan Ata Canani, Momo Djender, Doctorella, Jane in Ether, Hugo Fernandez New Grounds Quartet, Freak de l'Afrique mit DJ Nomi & Ukai, Jens Friebe, Adi Gelbart and Kammerensemble Neue Musik, Ale Hop, Ixora, Adir Jan, Nasser Kilada, Last Chance to Misbehave, Loser Mage, Meredi, Das Nähmaschinenduett, Jeff Özdemir & F.S. Blumm, Moritz von Oswald, Das Rattenkabinett, Samba de Roda da Berlim, Zinc & Copper and others

In collaboration with, among others, ausland, Freak de l’Afrique and Kiezsalon.

Readings, performances and listening sessions invite the audience to experience words and sounds together, with Jumoke Adeyanju, Paulina Czienskowski, Sandhya Daemgen, Enrico Ippolito, Flaneur Magazine, Wolfram Lotz, Enis Maci, Nazanin Noori, Jakob Nolte, Rosaceae, Nele Stuhler, Das Wetter and many others

In the 21 archives film program, the archive becomes a place of radical critique and lived designs, held together by 21 planetary events.

On the Spree side of HKW, Weltwirtschaft restaurant invites visitors to enjoy food and drinks. The kiosks on the roof terrace and the Spreepavillon also offer food and drinks to take away. Daily from 11 am. Information about the menu and program:
