re:place

re:place 2007 ist ein internationales Forum zur Präsentation und Diskussion exemplarischer Annäherungen an die Wechselwirkungen zwischen der Kunst, den Medien, der Wissenschaft und der Technologie. Der Titel ,re:place' beschreibt den thematischen Schwerpunkt: die Verortung und die Migration von Wissen in diesem interdsziplinären Kontext. re:place 2007 ist ein Projekt der Kunstprojekte Berlin GmbH und dem Haus der Kulturen der Welt. Die Konferenz ist eine Fortführung von ,Refresh', der ersten Veranstaltung einer Reihe. Sie fand unter dem Vorsitz von Oliver Grau im September 2005 am Banff Center in Canada statt. Die vom Database of Virtual Art, Leonardo und dem Banff New Media Institute produzierte Veranstaltung versammelte mehrere hundert Künstler, Wissenschaftler, Forscher, Kuratoren und Theoretiker verschiedener Disziplinen.
