Lydia H. Liu

Lydia H. Liu befasst sich als Komparatistin und Medientheoretikerin intensiv mit Theorien der Übersetzung. An der Columbia University hat sie die Wun Tsun Tam-Professur für Humanities inne und ist Direktorin des Institute for Comparative Literature and Society. Zu ihren zahlreichen Buchveröffentlichungen gehören The Freudian Robot: Digital Media and the Future of the Unconscious (2010) und Tokens of Exchange: The Problem of Translation in Global Circulations (Hg, 1999). Sie ist als Autorin zweisprachig und hat auf Chinesisch den Roman The Nesbit Code veröffentlicht, der 2014 mit dem Hong Kong Book Prize ausgezeichnet wurde. Im akademischen Jahr 2018/19 war sie Gastwissenschaftlerin am Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton.
