meLê yamomo is a theatre maker, composer, and sound scholar. He is Assistant Professor of Theatre, Performance, and Sound Studies at the University of Amsterdam. He is the project leader and principal investigator of the projects Decolonizing Southeast Asian Archives (DeCoSEAS) and Sonic Entanglements and resident artist at Ballhaus Naunynstrasse. In his work he explores the themes of sonic migration, queer aesthetics, and post/decolonial acoustic epistemologies. He is the author of the book Sounding Modernities (2018) and lives and works in Amsterdam and Berlin.
