Rencontres Internationales - Opening

The Rencontres Internationales will create a space of discovery and reflection focused on new cinema and contemporary art, in Berlin at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt.

In the presence of artists and filmmakers from all over the world, this rare event will propose an international programme of film, video, multimedia, gathering 150 works from 40 countries, works by acknowledged artists along with young artists presented for the first time. It includes screenings - Premières, cartes blanches, video programme, etc. -, performances, a section dedicated to contemporary documentary forms, a workshop and a forum, in the presence of art centre and museum directors. curators, artists and distributors who will share their experience and concerns about contemporary moving image practices.
