If You Lived Here… & Greenpoint Project

In a conversation with Nikolaus Hirsch artist Martha Rosler will discuss the methodological scope of her engagement with housing questions by providing an insight into the Greenpoint Project (2011) and some follow-up work from 2015, and the exhibition cycle “If You Lived Here…”

Situated at the Dia Foundation, New York, in 1989 the project marked a new artistic approach that addressed the interlinked issues of homelessness, gentrification, and real estate speculation and community efforts to combat or otherwise intervene in these processes.
