Artistic Educational Seminar for Social Service Volunteers

Fri, Mar 20, 2015
6 pm
Free admission

The one-year term for Social Service Volunteers—e.g., in hospitals, care facilities for the elderly or disabled, daycare centers, schools, environmental or cultural work, or politics—is an occasion to reflect on the significance of social services in today's work world, both locally and globally. Practices from contemporary art and research projects are used as the participants grapple with the subject of work through film as an artistic medium, following Harun Farocki's endeavor to make work visible and represent it in film.

In cooperation with filmArche e.V., the ver.di Youth Education Center Berlin-Konradshöhe, and the Turkish Union in Berlin-Brandenburg
