Sinan Antoon

Sinan Antoon is a poet, novelist, scholar, and translator. He was born in Baghdad and moved to the United States after the 1991 Gulf War. He holds a doctorate in Arabic Literature from Harvard University. He has published two collections of poetry and four novels including The Baghdad Eucharist (2017), The Corpse Washer (2013), and I'jaam—An Iraqi Rhapsody (2006). His works have been translated into twelve languages. Sinan Antoon is co-founder and co-editor of Jadaliyya, and an associate professor at New York University and fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Berlin 2016/2017.
