Aerosol

The Anthropocene Project. An Encyclopedia

The tiniest particles in the atmosphere, each with a unique signature, making it possible to trace their tracks from Chad to the Amazon, from the Ruhr region to the Sahel. In the process, they transport both toxic and fruitful particles through the wind, condensing the atmosphere, changing the refraction of light and warming the air, water, and ground, evaporate, color the sky and move with the clouds. Dusts, pollen, ashes, bacteria. A global circulation of the tiniest particles, a dance of combustion residue and eroded stone layers, in constant amalgamation and chaining with fluids and gases, continuously taking up contact for changes in essence, a metabolic process that stands for the textures of the Anthropocene.
