Discussion with Ian Buruma and Hans Maarten van den Brink

With Ian Buruma (The Netherlands/GB), Hans Maarten van den Brink (The Netherlands)

On the 2nd of November 2004, Theo van Gogh was murdered by a radical Islamist on the streets of Amsterdam. It was particularly shocking that this happened in the Netherlands as the country has always been a role model for various cultures living together harmoniously. A fundamental divide in Western society was opened. What has changed since then? The internet magazine Perlentaucher.de has started an international debate on this theme. To read texts from the debate by Ian Buruma, Timothy G. Ash, Necla Kelek and others visit perlentaucher.de or the English website signandsight.com .
